Founding ICME
Founded in 1954, ICME was one of the first private Swiss management consulting companies. ICME is a founding member of ASCO (Swiss Association of Management Consultants, still active today with 68 company members) and sponsors a foundation for
research in enterprise management.
Expanding ICME
Increasing economic growth following the war
and the slowly changing perspective about consulting companies contributed to the immense growth of ICME and expansion of the company to 32 consultants in the 1960s.
Restructuring ICME
Recession in the following years and the consequences of the oil crisis leads to the rationalization and diminution of ICME and finally to the restructuring of the entire company in 1975. The new strategy is short term oriented and more national. The tight company structure and philosophy provided significant leverage in the following years with ICME recording an average of 43.5% growth in revenue annually.
Focusing ICME
ICME begins to focus on services rather than on industry. New Clients in various industries like telecommunication, banking, energy and utilities and even governments were targeted with success.

Mohammad is having 25 years of professional career in health care development, project management and medical equipment planning. Alex is a senior professional with a 30+ years of experience in international health systems. He studied medicine, economics, holds a PHD and is Associate Professor on the University of Vienna. He served in over 50 hospitals worldwide as an anaesthesiologist and intensive care physician, including the British NHS, the Royal Naval Hospital in Gibraltar, South Africa, Nepal, Germany and Austria. For 15 years he leaded hospitals, hospital chains as CEO, CMO or CFO. Moreover, he leaded nursing schools and developed systems of nursing applied sciences. Based in the Austrian alps he commits himself to improve health systems and health institutions, by focus on international health care systems, performance/process development, personnel development and strategical improvement, including IT systems. Jürg has long-term experience in consulting and supporting his clients – from SME to subsidiaries of listed companies in different industries and with national as well as international background. André has a working experience in healthcare markets of German-speaking countries with more than 30 years. Based on his study of Thermo-Fluid Dynamics and Biomedical Engineering he worked first as development engineer and responsible product manager in several leading biomedical institutes and companies.
