Projects
Sheikh Tahnoon Medical City
STMC is a flagship 718-bed tertiary care hospital in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, operated by SEHA. It’s one of ICME’s Turnkey projects – a state-of-the-art “Healing Oasis” facility with Centers of Excellence in Trauma, Orthopaedics, and Rehabilitation.
ICME was involved in Sheikh Tahnoon Medical City (STMC) in Al Ain from the early strategic planning and conceptualization phases all the way through to design, construction supervision until project completion and handover.

Sheikh Khalifa Medical City
ICME partnered with SOM + Tilke to masterplan the new 800+ bed Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi, set to replace existing facilities with comprehensive Tertiary and quaternary care.
Conceived as three hospitals under one roof, the Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) project is a
medical complex that combines a General Hospital
(with a level 1 trauma centre), and tertiary women’s and paediatric hospitals.
The design of the facility was awarded multiple times (including American
Institute of Architects).
Abu Dhabi, UAE
Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City
In partnership with SEHA and Mayo Clinic, ICME played a key role in shaping SSMC into one of the region’s most advanced Destination Medical Centers across multiple projects. Working alongside SOM, ICME delivered the Feasibility Study ,Strategic Expansion Planning, and Master Planning, combining market insight, financial strategy, and clinical service design to guide SSMC’s long-term expansion.
These efforts helped transform SSMC into the UAE’s first JCI-accredited Academic Medical Center, setting a new benchmark for integrated, world-class healthcare in Abu Dhabi and the wider region.
SEHA Ambulatory Clinics
Abu Dhabi’s Health Services Company, SEHA, sought to establish Ambulatory Healthcare clinics to cater to the increasing demand within primary care facilities.
SEHA commissioned ICME to address primary care demand by establishing 9 prototypical Ambulatory Healthcare Centres across urban/rural Abu Dhabi. ICME conducted regional analysis, identified priority locations, designed single/two-storey clinics, and supervised construction.

Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Children’s Hospital
H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak sought to donate a 100+ bed specialized paediatric hospital to the children of Kosovo. The hospital would provide state of the art facilities and equipment including an MRI and CT scan. ICME was tasked with early planning, design, construction tender management, construction supervision and turnkey project management.
The Hospital went on to be Kosovo’s first specialized pediatric hospital.
Pristina, Kosovo
Jawaher Boston Medical District
BEEAH Group’s 266-bed hospital in Sharjah’s Al Suyoh Suburb, is a project taken on by ICME as an advisory and client representation role and designed by Renzo Piano. The medical network will provide a range of specialisations: lifestyle and prevention medicine, oncology, women’s health, pediatrics, cardiovascular diseases, neurosciences, behavioral health and rehabilitation medicine.
ICME facilitated the unprecedented medical partnership with Mass General Brigham and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, marking the first such collaboration at this scale in the UAE.
Sharjah, UAE
Al Ansar Hospital PPP
ICME served as technical advisor to Tamasuk for Saudi Arabia’s first healthcare PPP tender. Provided PPP advisory, strategic facility planning, medical equipment planning, ICT design, cost estimation, design optimization, and supplier procurement.
The 244–bed Al Ansar Hospital is planned to serve pilgrims and residents with world-class emergency care.
Madinah, Saudi Arabia
Maymoona Eye Hospital
Maymoona Eye Center is a complete Turkey project covering all design, architecture, medical planning, project management, and supervision services all the way to operations and handover.
Designed as a state-of-the-art ophthalmology day-surgery center, the facility integrates advanced medical technologies with seamless digital patient workflows, enabling efficient, high-quality eye care and an enhanced patient experience.

Red Sea Development Healthcare Infrastructure
ICME served as a strategic healthcare advisor to Red Sea Development in Saudi Arabia, supporting the planning and development of the region’s emerging healthcare network within the Vision 2030 framework.
The advisory scope encompassed several facilities, including the Turtle Bay Hospital, the Red Sea region’s first integrated primary and secondary care center.
Through its expert advisory role, ICME helped ensure that RSD’s healthcare infrastructure meets international quality standards and the needs of a growing resident and visitor population.
