SEHA appointed ICME to present and analyze three options for the integration of clinical services in the Al Reem Hospital project, utilizing current medical planning and layout, as well as potential horizontal and vertical expansion possibilities. Tentative options regarding capacities and capabilities were identified and evaluated. Furthermore, a high-level CAPEX calculation for a new-build infrastructure to integrate current Corniche Hospital Services into the service concept of the SKMC was performed. The project provided SEHA with a high-level understanding how the Al Reem facility, which is currently under construction, could replace other outdated SEHA infrastructure while meeting all required standards and regulations. ICME scope included: Analysis of medical planning and infrastructure of the current Al Reem Hospital based on provided floorplans; Technical feasibility of space utilization for the listed options and capacities under exploitation of horizontal and vertical expandability; High-level identification of required adjustments to current facility design in order to accommodate the options from a medical planning and DoH guideline perspective; Identification of maximal capacities and capabilities per option; and a high-level CAPEX calculation for each option presented.
